About San Gorgonio Wilderness Outfitters

San Gorgonio Wilderness Outfitters is a professional California based outfit that was founded from my passion to hunt and the enjoyment of sharing this with others. We offer hunts for Desert Bighorn Sheep, Mule Deer, and Bear in California and Nevada. Everything possible is done to insure our clients a successful and memorable hunt. Throughout the year we scout the different ranges for the best possible animals. This allows us to meet our commitment to provide the opportunity to our hunters to harvest a quality animal from the region or state that is being hunted.

Guiding and outfitting since 1984 and my 20 plus years of ranching on the East side of the San Bernardino Mountains has given me the opportunity to enjoy the wildlife more than the average person. This experience allowed me to work with the California Fish & Game since 1989 on a deer and desert bighorn sheep study. I spent 3 years of that employed by the Fish & Game as a scientific/seasonal aide. The data obtained allowed the first Desert Bighorn hunt to occur in the San Gorgonio Mountains in over I00 years in 1996/97. The field study allowed me to work in other hunting zones, participate in bighorn sheep and deer captures, aerial surveys, and daily fieldwork.

The decision to hire a guide/outfitter is a big commitment. This commitment is one of trust and financial investment. Our clients that have shared this experience with us have become not only past hunters, but also lifelong friends, many returning to hunt with us.
